Hyundai plans to introduce the plug-in hybrid with the Genesis brand and it could possibly make it way to other brands.

Heck yeah I would, so long as it looked like the gas model.

Considering the fuel economy isn't great on the Stinger, I would absolutely get the plug-in hybrid.

If one is available I would buy it, plugins are great since my office has charging stations I can use to offset the vehicle cost.

Agreed. I would not get one but if the idea is executed properly then I would be open to it.

I think a lot depends on what part of the country you live in. If I needed to spend a lot of time in a big city rolling parking lot, I'd consider it. Out here in the open spaces of the MidWest, no way unless the performance and handling was equivalent to the fuelers.

Yes I would definitely get one. I'm actually holding off in hopes that one comes out by 2020. They could have 2 versions

The Turbo 4 cylinder (254 hp) + the electric motor in the optima (66 hp) for a total of 320 hp

High performance model like the Volvo xc60 which puts out 400 hp. That similar specs are coming to the 2019 Volvo v60

Nope. Although in principle I like the idea of a hybrid, and the Stinger needs help in the efficiency department (new engine upgrades coming in 2019 that will address that), the sprightly handling of the car would be ruined by all the extra weight. The handling is the reason to get this car. If you just want hybrid or better efficiency, lots of choices. There are few to none other cars this large and heavy that feel so light and agile behind the wheel.

Would it go like a P100D? If so, count me in
