Door side protectors?

So I got these as a late Fathers day present from the wife. She knows I'm crazy about protecting the stinger from any door dings. The idea sounds great but I'm not sure how I feel about them. It does matches the body line of the side pretty good. Thoughts?

My first thought was... Oh no. But it actually looks ok. It almost looks to follow the body lines

I think it takes away from the clean lines of the side of the car.

I like it, at least you can easily remove it and repaint if it gets dinged.

It actually happened today! An old lady open her door and whacked! hit the passenger side door. I was like wtf! I took a look and the edge of her door was on the protector molding. Didn't do any damage because she had those door edge guard whew! I thought I had to go medivial on an old lady lol.
