Wireless Charging

Hallo guys,
I have a question. Witch size have the place for wireless charging. How big can the phone be?

Its a decent area, my Samsung Galaxy which is about 150mm can fit without any problem.

I have an S9+ and it fits and charges fine.

However. When using Android auto, and storing the phone in the wireless charging space, it is not ideal as the USB C termination that goes into the phone will put strain where strain shouldn't be put.

I made myself an ultra stubby right angle USB cable so my phone still fits in the wireless charging compartment while cabled for Android Auto.



I do not have a pic of the finished product, only this work in progress pic. I will take another picture when I get my car back hopefully shortly

I have the Samsung S9+ an it fits just fine but It won't fit with the phone in my otterbox so I have to take the phone out so I can charge it.

One thang I forgot to mention was, when I take it off the charger my phone is very warm. I don't know if it's just my phone but keep an I on your phones while charging them.

Looks like that will work with the S9.

But not so much with the S9+

That is a cool USB cable, that would work.

What I'm talking about rob is my phone won't fit inside the charging area why its in the otterbox. It's to wide...

Oh, yes I am aware [MENTION=2027]spider55[/MENTION], I was replying to [MENTION=2228]Djltoronto[/MENTION] (should use quotes more often ).

The otterbox is a massive case. Functional but massive, that coupled with the actual size of the phone, will make it nearly impossible to fit on most OEM wireless chargers.

That might work, but it would be tight.

When I get my car back from the dealer I will post a pic of just how exact fit it is with the custom cable I made.
