valve noise

anyone else hear the valves clakety clanking on cold start for about 30 seconds?

Perfectly normal, only an issue if the noise persists.

It is normal especially if the car has been sitting for a long period. It takes some time for the oil to fully lubricate the heads on a cold start.

Isn’t that sound the high pressure fuel pump?

Mine does have the same thing and I thought it was the fuel pump building pressure

I've heard of this before in other vehicles, just haven't heard it in any of my vehicles for at least ten years
