“Stinger” on the back of the car

Can somebody explain why some cars say STINGER on the back and others say KIA?

At first I thought it was newer models but then came across two 2018 GT2 and one has Kia the other has Stinger. My theory is out the window and it’s making it that much harder to decide.

The badge was changed.

Welcome @BrooklynB & @Dwdrummr1, the first couple years of the car came with KIA on the back of them but most of the owners changed them out to the STINGER logo. That goes the same with the front logo, like myself I went with the E logo front & rear..

Also, the base Stingers (like mine) never got the center Stinger badge and have Kia logo instead
