got the new iPhone XS so I had to go wireless, the car already has wireless charging but I wanted the phone in direct sight for the JB4 monitoring. Went with the iOttie iTap, the quality is good, it has quick charging but the charging is slow which is the common criticism I see everywhere on all the car wireless chargers. The unit has a builtin fan to keep the phone cool while charging but it is a bit noisy, if everything is turned off you can hear it but if you are listening to music even at low volume you wont be able to hear it. 7/10.

Yup, comes ready with the double sided tape and two different mount heights. The higher mount worked better for me. Also comes with two back plates for the phone for the magnetic mounting, one is thin for thin cases and the other thick for thicker cases.

That won't hold my phone based on how I drive sometimes. LOL

And the last thing I need is a phone bouncing around the pedals.

I have a Pop Socket on my phone, they make a small stick on mount for the Pop Socket. I mounted mine on the top right corner of my center console display so that when mounted, my Samsung Galaxy S7 doesn't touch the dashboard when mounted vertical, and when I want to use a horizontal position, I can swivel it with no interference. When mounted vertical, from my view point, the display is perfectly clear to me with no obstruction. Works Perfect!

You cant put mounts like that in your car here in the Phoenix area, the heat would kill it. Mount your phone on your dash here, your phone would be dead in less then a week. I still remember the first time I left my smart phone in my vehicle, it was only in the car for about an hour an their was nothing on the screen. The phone would not work until it cooled off and that took about an hour an a half when I got home.

Very true. I made the mistake of leaving my old HTC phone on the dash once and the screen stayed black until it was able to cool off.

Not double sided tape, just a peel and stick pop socket brand. Crazy sticky! Think it may work in Phoenix, shouldn't fall off as it is protected by the center display from getting direct sunlight and your air conditioner will keep it cool! May be worth a try, think it was $10 at Walmart.
