Problems with apple car play?

Are any of you having problems with apple car play where the phone will not sync and the screen says the phone is not responding?

I have used it only sparingly, but across 2 iPhones it has worked properly for me so far.

It has always worked but for some reason it did not yesterday.

I think I have resolved this!

1. The first step was to see if I could recreate the issue.
2. The paring/connection issue seemed to occur when my cell phone was left in the car plugged in and the car was turned off, I exited the vehicle, and locked the doors. When I came back the phone would not connect. Even after repeatedly unplugging it and plugging it back in.
3. I have been able to recreate this several times. Not every time, but 3 out of 5 times.
4. Solution - Whenever I get out of the car I take my phone with me... EZ!

Ultimately, it shouldn't be this way and hopefully it is a glitch they will fix. But taking the phone with you is a good stop gap measure.
