I've been looking for the Gel FOB protectors and haven't seen anything so far.

Got one. Even though it does protector the fob. The leather tends to twist making it sometimes annoying.

I bought these too and it does a good job of protecting the fob from scratches in case you drop it.

Just got the oem fob "gloves".
Not the best design, not the best material but in addition to protecting the fob,
the cutouts for the buttons makes it easier to feel and find them.
But for now, they'll have to do.

Best described as a sleeve...thin leather/vinyl?, very tight fit, cheap rubberized strap at top to prevent it from slipping off.
Very cheap in design, materials and price.
It's more about some protection than style or luxury.
Best thing about it is that you can feel the buttons. The buttons on the side are not easy to locate otherwise.
And it has a tether to make it easier to find in your pocket or hang on something.

That looks sick. How is the quality now? Is it holding up? Is it hard to push buttons? Anything you don't like and like about it?
Trying to decide if I should get the OEM one or this one lol

So far so good. Not much resistance in button action, but you do lose some of the feel for the button. But that will occur with any cover.
The leather still looks great and has taken the beating from the keys and their scratches.
No complaints.
