Front end looks like the GT model too and it does look way better.

Hopefully Kia makes this an option and we can choose to have the ventless hood.

The 2.0 will not have them, not sure about the diesel. There are 2 main trim levels with each model (I posted a video on another thread), and options and option packages for each. I doubt it will be an option on the 3.3 because that will be the main visual differentiating component (besides the GT on the back, but the base 3.3 may not have the GT on the back but be kind of a "sleeper").

This is all based on the video which is for the Korean market (with prices). Here is the video again: m.youtube.com/watch?v=gsuCKQY8Yxg

Too bad the hood design isn't an option. Have any of you guys seen what the turbo 4 engine look like yet?

The 2.0 Gasoline will not have Brembo brakes and the wheels will be 18-inch for Europe.
The 2.2 Diesel will not have Brembo brakes and hood vents. It will only be 17-inch wheels as standard in Europe.
The 3.3 Gasoline will have Brembo brakes, hood vents and 19-inch wheels... It is the car to have [wave]

So it's looking like you can get a 2.0 that's identical to the GT; the one in the video below has the 19" wheels, Brembos and hood vents.

Anyone know if AWD will be available with the 2.0?

If they offer this in the U.S. it will be a temptation over the 3.3 due to the financial impact:
1. 4-6k less purchase price
2. Less insurance cost
3. Less cost at the pump
4. Possibly less depreciation
5. Less likely to be stolen or vandalized (due to envy...lol!)
6. Possibly less engine and/or drivetrain repair costs out of warranty down the road

First 4 points I completely agree. But the insurance would probably be the same since its the same make and model. And thieves probably won't know the difference between a 3.3 and the 2.0.

Insurance will not be the same due to engine size (and cost) as well as difference in cost of repairs/replacement. A 4-cylinder Camaro is less than the V8 to insure I promise. You buy big with big power and big speed, you are going to pay the price due to risk potential on the part of the insurance company (accident records/trends).

Thieves will know the difference, especially if there is a "GT" on the back. If not, there may be some other subtle markings (if we even get the package listed in the video above). Even if they don't, they may be more likely to steal it anyway because it looks like the other.

Only if the Stinger with the larger motor has a separate trim level designation like "GT" unique to the V6 as you mentioned. If you had the V8, most likely you had the "SS" which insurance companies know has a larger motor because SS isn't offered with a V6 or 4 cyl turbo. My wife has an Audi Q5 Prestige with the larger 3.0L v6 motor and it cost the same to insure as the Prestige 2.0T 4 cyl, in fact there's no option to select v6 over 4cyl.

What I meant from my post is that most insurance companies have designations for trim levels and not necessarily engine sizes. Wasn't trying to be argumentative, just trying to clarify.[cheers]

Maybe some things have changed recently. They go by the VIN number anyway so that will tell them what they need to know. Once you get over a certain age group bracket there is not a huge difference anyway. Our insurance agent (who is also a long time friend) once told me "There won't be that much difference so just get what you want". The difference used to also depend on coupe versus sedan...coupes were typically purchased by younger people (who may also be higher risk takers) so therefore a higher percentage of accidents and hence, higher insurance rates.

You are correct. My dealer said it will be 3 different styling packades for Stinger 2.0 Gasoline and 2.2 Diesel in Europe (we will not get the 2.0 Gasoline in Scandinavia). The styling will be GT, GT Line and one not named yet. You could get everthing besides the Brembo brakes. I guess premium sound, 19" wheels, hoodvents + drivning tech. The spec is soon finalized between KIA Asia and KIA Europe. The grey colur will not be present on the first Stingers for the Nordics. They will sell 350 Cars.
