New Steering Wheel Replacement Emblem

Having a new emblem made for the Stinger. I am working with a company that makes licensed parts for GM, Ford and others. Heres the design.



The areas in white will be bright silver/chrome. The entire emblem will be gloss with slight bevel edge. I am having samples made now and will share more pics as the project progresses. This is the last piece for my rebadge project.

Depends how many are order. But probably around 35. I?ll get it mounted and take a ton of pics so you can see it better. I?m pretty picky and I think it?s gonna be great!

Sorry for the delay on this! My car is back in the shop having the front bumper repainted again. The shop I had do it originally did a poor job so Im having it done right this time. Costs more, but it'll be worth it.




So I will install the emblem when I get the car back today or tomorrow. In the interim here are a few more pics. This is how the emblem comes from the supplier. It is laser cut clear acrylic that the black and red is hand painted.





You can see that the laser cuts it and the edges are straight so I have sanded, polished, and buffed it to the desired shape to replicate the current KIA badge.

Thanks, and looks sharp. But it looks like you had to take off a fair amount of the acrylic to make it more flush. Let me know how well it sticks as it seems like there is a bit or a curve on the steering wheel where the emblem goes.

Finally installed it last night.

I used my dremmel to remove a little of the material on the horn/airbag cover so that the new emblem would recess nicely. I think it turned out great!
