Hey all! We've started tossing around ideas to make an aftermarket gauge pod A-pillar and I have a few "market research" questions before we really ramp things up. If we could get some feedback on this from everyone (assuming this is a product you may be interested in), it would be greatly appreciated!
1) How many gauges would you want in an A-pillar? It's generally either 2 or 3.
2) If we made a 3-gauge pillar but you only needed to use 2 of them, would the option of a "filler cap" to cover the blank hole help your decision to potentially purchase this product? (The idea is to keep the possibility open of adding a third gauge in the future).
3) The pod would likely be a full replacement piece and not just an overlay. With that in mind, would you prefer it to be made of ABS plastic (pretty much a perfect OEM equivalent piece), carbon fiber or standard black fiberglass?
4) Since the OEM pillars have a fabric covering, would you like to have the option of a matching "blank" version for the passenger side so they match?
5) If we decide to make the pillar pod in carbon fiber, would you like to have the option of a matching "blank" version in carbon fiber as well so they match?
Thanks in advance!
