What made you sell the R so quickly?
Two things
1. You really had to be in Sports mode to get it to feel fast off the line, and I miss rear wheel drive or RWD biased cars. Buy more importantly:
2. If you've got Netflix, watch episode 1 of "Dirty Money". VW crossed the line for me when I saw the full story of Dieselgate, including the video footage of them gassing monkeys to try to increase profits on their diesel vehicles. It doesn't help that in Europe they're still selling cars with 500% the NOX emmissions permitted. My grandparents on my dad's side were the only 2 surviving members of their family who escaped from Poland in time to not be gassed in Auschwitz (more than 30 of their immediate families were gassed).

You could argue that I should never have gotten a VW in that case, and perhaps that's true. I believed that the reparations and time had done their thing. That this was not the company it was in the 1940s. And it isn't, but it's still insanely tone deaf for a German car manufacturer to do what they did, and to continue poisoning most of Europe because they can get away with it.

That sounds horrible, I'll have to check out that documentary, glad you found something that's more suitable.

Age 55. Not an owner yet, still happy with A Lexus LS 460. But very interested in Stinger's combo of luxury and driving performance

As did I. I knew about most of it because I'm so engrossed in what I do, but I wasn't aware of just how intentional the corruption was.

I ended up binge watching the whole series the first night. My favorite was the payday loan episode.

He's looking for a reason to get new wheels. "Honey my wheels broke and the tires fell off, I think I need new wheels."
I guess you've seen the Ken Block video where he totally shreds the tires on his little Ford and drives away on the rims? If not, I'll find a link for you.
