Happy Holidays all!

Looking for feedback on if a squared setup would fit without problems on a stock GT2 AWD, the wheel specs are below.

You should be fine.

that offset will not work for the front especially on that width. Rear will be okay.

the width of the wheel is too much, and the offset is too high. Your problem is the combination of both of those variables, not tires.

Also a 255 tire will be too narrow to fit a 10" wide wheel, you'll have crazy amounts of stretch, you need at least a 275-285 tire.

So not even if I went with a 255/30/20?

Would a 35mm offset work? I recall seeing 40mm on plenty of Stingers. Maybe that was in staggered sets though.

It might, but then the wheel is going to stick out too much and it will run against the fender.

A 40mm offset will work on the rear. The main problem with such high offset on the front is the size of caliper, it is pretty big, therefore it will rub against the back of the wheel.

35mm offset is what goes on the staggered setup, 40 to 45mm offsets what you normally have on the rear. There is a guy here in Arizona that is running a 255 on at 10in wide rear rim, the stretch is ridiculous but it's his car, for each is their own....

Hi guys,
I know I saw this on a thread but I can't find it. I'm wanting to get a square set up for my GT (currently I have the staggered 19x8 front and 19x8.5 rear).

Can anyone confirm for me.

Will a 19x8.5 with a +35 offset all the way around fit on my GT?

Second question is, would I be able to use the same tires (currently on the stock wheels)? I only have 5k miles on them so I rather wear them out and wait to buy new ones.

Thanks

Would the wheel spec below work for a squared setup and if so, what size tires?
Backspacing: 6.25
Offset: +38
Wheelsize: 20
Wheelwidth: 8.5
Hubbore: 74.10

Would just like to say, I've run 255s on 10" wide wheels no problem. 255/35R19 on a 10J BMW wheel on my VW. Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 tires. Barely any stretch at all, but a 30 aspect ratio might make the stretch a little worse. Check out tyrestretch.com... super helpful site! (also recommend willtheyfit.com for those unsure of measurements!) 10's are probably too wide for the fronts, but 255s are absolutely NOT too narrow for a 10J wheel. Might look a little goofy on a car this size, but depends on drop/wheels and a lot more besides. :)

Hey guys I’m ready to pull the trigger. Will these work in the stated sizes? Probably going with a different tire brand just concerned on sizing. 341FE2E7-0A74-46DB-9C60-013AF6F03FAE.jpeg

hey guys, got the car dropped on ARK springs and added Vossen HF3 wheels. 19X8.5 front, 19 x 9.5 rear. using oem tires for now, but could go up a size when it's time to replace them. worked with Diego and Jereme at Vossen and bought direct from them. I worked with Diego in the past on a previous car. great guys down there. I lost about 5lbs per wheel on the front and 7 lbs per wheel in the back versus the stock wheel weights. I simply weighed each weel on my home scale so not super scientific but you get the idea. they are far lighter. Wheels are transparent gloss black finish. They fit pretty flush with fender as well. Because I live in Southeast Michigan, where the roads are some of the worst in the US, I'm looking to run 18s. I'd like to go with a square 18x9 setup. Based on several posts here I'm concerned about inside clearance with the front suspension. Anyone know if there is any safe offset for 18x9 front?

Edit: 35mm offset with 3mm spacers in the front maybe?
