Kia Hundai Thefts

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I wasn't able to find anything here about it. I saw some news stories about Kias and Hundais being easily stolen by thieves who either break the steering column (on cars with keys) or pop off the start/stop button and then insert a usb phone charging cable to start the cars. Has anyone here heard about this, and do you know if Stingers are susceptible to it?

Supposedly it's just cars with a physical key and not cars with push-button start.
