Just found odd looking "track" like distortion on bumper ...

Have no idea what could have caused this. There's no paint transfer (as if from another vehicle) and no cracking to the bumper.

Just this strange track or feathering appearance on the surface of the driver's side lower bumper. Ideas?

Ok, had the dealer auto body shop look at it. They said it was the paints reaction to an external heat source.

What that heat source could've been, I don't have a clue.

And even though they didn't think a flaw in the paint process contributed to it occurring, that they're going to fix it free of charge.:)

If it’s the paint only, it’s a chemical reaction.

Often if there’s not enough dry time between coats, or the material is applied to thick in areas of corners or curves the paint reactivates and causes it to wrinkle like this.

Was the bumper repainted at some point?
