Hi, in the instruction manual of the Injen intake (for 3.3 tt), there is a note at page 2 that says that you should disconnect the battery before installing the intake (and then reconnect it after the installation). Why? Is this to reset the ECU before starting the engine with the new intake? I don't see any wire to be disconnected in the installation process.

You don't need to disconnect the battery for install but yes it just resets the ECU, If you want to you can....
