Would you recommend using a supplemental adhesive...maybe clear silicon...that?s a lot of torque on those caps to be held on with 3M adhesive?

Nah, the adhesive backside is REALLY sticky! I've made these exact wheel caps for other markets and can't recall a single instance where one came off just from regular driving.
