If gas prices go over $4.00 per gallon would you drive your Stinger less?

Here in Chicago gas prices are over $4.00 per gallon/premium and I'm starting to feel my wallet hurt with each fill up. I've find myself taking fewer leisure drives because of the rising gas prices. Are you guys driving less?

I'm switching to 87 octane. I haven't noticed any difference in performance or fuel economy.

We're at about $3.50 a gallon in Sacramento for premium and I've running regular too.

Knock on wood its hasn't gotten to $4 for me yet but I would definitely be using ECO mode more once that happens.

I use Eco mode most times I commute to work, and it definitely makes a huge difference. I get around 22mpg vs. 16 in Comfort or Custom with Sports steering and Comfort on everything else.

With this car, driving less isn't necessarily the answer. I live 2.5 miles from work now and do very little highway driving, and my mileage is worse than full size trucks, at ~14 mpg/220 miles per tank.

It's a trade-off though. While I don't get great mileage now, I also don't fill up as often.

Yeah, city driving in any mode is horrendous on mpg. But then again it's not great on other cars either. My Golf R was rated 23 city, 30 highway. I never got 30, ever. But in pure city driving I frequently got 16 to 18mpg. Best I could muster in highway driving was around 24mpg. That could be because its 6th gear was not an overdrive type. It revved at 2,700 rpm at 70mph. My wife's GTI is a lot more economical, but its still never better than 20mpg in city only.

I'll keep putting top octane in it and keep driving it. It's all temporary, and you only have so many years/miles in your Stinger!

Almost $4 here in Napa, I'll start using regular fuel once if it climbs to $5.
