Hey guys! This is Chris from Hard Drives. I want to thank the mods from this forum for posting the video we did last week. We're a new channel and I'm a little rusty at the video stuff, so bear with me as I learn along the way. Good news is, for some of the bigger shoot videos, I'll have some help from a couple of professional video guys that work for me in my consulting business. There's a lot of car content to be shot around the Carolinas. We're also not far from Atlanta.
That said, I'm here to answer any questions you might have! I'm currently awaiting arrival of five Stingers (I believe two are 4 cylinder, three are V6 GT's) there at Kia of Greenville in Greenville, South Carolina. My friend Scott (who you saw in the video) works there as a salesman. He had to pull some extra strings just to have allowed this first video, and probably a few more with the full review to come. I guess dealers don't want some yokel with a camera poking around their new sports sedan!
Not sure where the dealership is at (South Carolina?) but the floor model they have is not available in the U.S. According to the build you can't get a red exterior with a red interior or the passenger mounted seat controls for the rear passengers. Unless things have already changed....
This was indeed a DEMO floor model. I did find out that this particular one was spec'd around $62,000. That's right, $62,000...
Scott wasn't sure if they were getting to keep it on the lot for sale or not. He had very limited info to work with, which is not uncommon among car salesman. (at least with us car guys)
The car was VERY NICE. I plan on conveying my thoughts on the car in the full review, whenever that is. (hint: I kind of want one!)
This video was simply just to serve as a teaser/first look. It's a car that has interested me, and I felt it would pique other people's interest as well. As I said in the video, I am a Kia owner. My wife drives a new Kia Optima SX Turbo which is a fantastic, great looking car. The Stinger GT is a little more up my alley (performance sedan), as I drove a Charger RT for a few years before getting a VW GTI last year. As a car guy who is also a dad, 4 doors come in handy!
Please feel free to send me any constructive feedback, or what to be looking for in the review. My email is:
