Do any of you own firearms? I have an AR-15, 1911, and Glock 19 Gen 3.

Why? Because it is still legal to own them!

Just sent a guy to prison for a year who decided to try to enter our home in broad daylight, with us home. Didn't see him trying to enter. Saw someone sitting on our lanai. Got my pistol and went to talk to him. He said he was resting. Escorted him off the property.

Went to look at the cameras and saw he walked through the hedges, over the pool fence and his first move was to try to open the master bedroom door, then sat down on the lanai. Called the sheriff department. While two deputies were on site, he came back.

Seven deputies were on the scene within minutes. The guy was high, had needles and drugs on him.

That is actually why I carry and keep one in the chamber.

I respect human life enough to not use the weapon, unless another life is in perilous danger.

I turned my "arsenal" over to my grandson when he reached 21 years old.

After decades as an NRA member I wont be renewing my membership. I wont belong to an organization with Oliver North as president. The NRA today is not the same organization I joined years ago.

It is a long and expensive process to own fully automatic firearms in the US. Semi is just as much, since the one of the bigger reasons for owning a firearm in the states is shooting accurately for a hobby, and self defense. It starts getting expensive if you're just spitting lead downrange at $3-$4/second for 5.56.
