Curious notation from C&D's pdf of their 04/18 test: 2018 Stinger GT AWD

Seeing that the date was April of 2018 it's most likely a early production model. All though I haven't heard much on members reporting of overheating issues.

Yeah, I haven't seen people reporting that issue either. Just thought it was curious ...

A couple of things that I have to wonder about the tires. Although it is a GT2 awd, according to the test notes, the car was equipped with 18” wheels and Bridgestone all season tires. Nothing against Bridgestone but I wonder how the car would have performed with the 19” Michelin summer tires that are standard for the car. My 2018 GT2 AWD has a January, 2018 build date and I’ve had no cooling system problems, at all.

My '19 GT AWD w/18" All Season Bridgestone's hasn't had any issues either, cooling or otherwise.

I did some research and found the car C&D reported the issue with became their long term test car:

In their 10,000 mile follow up, I located this remark:
"Happily, the transmission-overheat warning we experienced almost immediately in our first trip to the track remained at bay this time until our last few runs. The Stinger's on-road performance gives no indication that its transmission is heat sensitive, which leads us to believe this isn't a problem that will crop up in even the most grueling on-road duty cycle."
