Hi guys.

2018 Micro blue. 2000 miles. Only washed and waxed twice.

Noticed the paint bubbling in the trunk area. Is this a common item for micro blue cars? Build date is 2/18.

Has anyone had this issue before?

No issues here either, is that bubbling or drip marks?

Ouch that sucks. Keep us posted on what Kia intends to do.

There has been reports of paint bubbling in some Stingers after removing badges due to the glue remover used.

I suppose it?s possible. I?ve removed many badges in the same fashion without issue, but never a Kia.

Same here. I removed mine on my SWP and had no issues at all. I also used goo gone.

So yeah it is rare, but I have seen it happen on micro blues and ceramic grey's so far.

It looks to me like a solvent or oil is working it's way up under the paint.

We gotta keep track of paint issues in the thread for it, as my gut feeling is the paint is going to be a huge issue for these cars. I have a black stinger and had it waxed twice and it doesn't hold up.

My cars build date was March of 18. Bought it at the dealership 2 weeks ago.

Only paint issue beyond water marks/stains (which I can buff out) is a noticeable speck of sand / dust that got caught under the base coat.

I?m not pushing for a respray yet, but will watch it closely to see if it bubbles.

Also, the seam cover seems to have water etching... but feels almost rubbery... wondering if there is some left over clear
protective covering. Doesn?t feel painted. Tried to lift an edge... worried about scratching it. Curious if it truly is a protective cover they missed removing on delivery.
