So, I was at it for a solid 20 min. I used a flathead screwdriver, slid it underneath and popped it right off. I have no clue how I did it, but there is a clip underneath. Once you take off the switch, there are two clips holding the side button in. Once you remove the thumb/side button, then you can remove the screw. I found it extremely difficult to pop off the front leather piece from the actual shift knob. There are grooves right where it connects on the front, so you have to kinda pry it a little and pop it out of the grooves. Good luck! I love the alcantara knob!
