Got some great news everyone, just received an email from AEM saying that they have in fact started development on the Stinger intake. Like K&N, its only for the 3.3t to start.

2018 Micro Blue Stinger GT2 AWD

The standalone pictures of the intakes in the shrouds looks different than when installed. Those shrouds are huge in the installed pics.

Filters are completely different in the installed pics too

Three emails with AEM and their responses say they're the same. Sorry, everyone knows better. Waiting for someone to get them in and do a full write-up with photos of parts, etc.
