Hi guys,
I have a new 2022 Stinger GT2 that I traded up from an ‘18 GT base. I have almost 700 miles on it and haven’t been driving it too hard in an attempt to follow the engine break-in recommendations (staying under 4K rpm).
When driving last night in sport mode, cruising around 45-50 mph, at around 2000 rpm, I attempted moderate acceleration. Car didn’t downshift but boost kicked in and as the rpms slowly climbed, it felt like the car was stuttering. If I replicated this but gave a bit more throttle, it would auto downshift and acceleration seemed smooth and uniform. Could this be just simple lugging? I don’t ever recall my ‘18 having this issue, as it would accelerate smoothly with boost even without a downshift.
