Update (Vid) 1/4 mile outing with the LAP3...!

UPDATE - Stinger went to the strip again today and managed another 12.17 with the same setup as 12.16 run, took a video this time [biggrin]

After installing the HKS M40iL plugs (gapped at 0.024) and getting the misfire issue out of the way, I decided to take the car to the strip and test it out.

Previous best run was a 12.6, car had,
1. JUN BL Race Type Cat-Back
2. 93octane + Boostane

Today the car had the same previous setup plus the LAP3, as usual removed everything I can (spare tire, head rests etc) results below,
1. 12.58 @ 111.72mph - JUN BL Catback + 93oct & Boostane - LAP3 91oct setting (7-5-5)
2. 12.48 @ 112.34mph - JUN BL Catback + 93oct & Boostane - LAP3 93oct setting (6-6-6)
3. 12.36 @ 113.53mph - JUN BL Catback + 93oct & Boostane - LAP3 93oct setting (6-6-6) - OEM panel air filter removed
4. 12.16 @ 114.58mph - JUN BL Catback + 93oct & Boostane - LAP3 93oct setting (6-6-6) - OEM panel air filter removed - 1 hour cool down

I have a video for the 12.36 run I will post later, the 12.16 run came as a surprise and we didn't video it unfortunately.

Great runs. What do you mean OEM panel air filter removed? Did you remove the whole box or just the filter inside?

Just the filter inside.
It's amazing how much time you shaved off just from the filters. Wondering with the K&N filters if it would produce similar times.

It definitely made a difference, but take the improvement with a grain of salt because the stock filters were quite dirty.

Temp was 24c (75f). No need for drag radials at the moment, the LC won't give 100% power until the car reaches a certain speed to avoid wheel spin, combine that with track-bite and the weight of the stinger I get zero wheel spin. I usually just spin the tires after driving over the water box to get ride of the water, but for the 12.16 run I went around the water box and immediately staged the car and didn't get any wheel spin.

Wondering with the K&N filters if it would produce similar times.
They'll produce some good numbers. Get drop-ins instead of the whole kit. The factory airbox setup is maximized for air supply. My .02.

If it's for looks and a bit more noise, the kit will be for you.
