    3.3 Stinger power development

Cheers it came up nice hey. Reason we went with aluminium and polished is for 2 reasons. Polished surfaces reflect thermal energy and 2 aluminum is an excellent thermal conductor...... so why use it for intakes you ask? Well we have found that once air is moving through the pipework it sheds its...

    3.3 Stinger power development

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of updates. Been flat out with work. Anyway we spent the day desiging and building our Stinger cai. Really happy with how it has come out. The factory ducting isnt the best as the intake sits under the big black plastic garnish over rad support with only about...

    3.3 Stinger power development

Ok so we put the stinger back on dyno this morning with our centre cat back system. It made around 7rwkw more as the lowest figure. One run saw 247rwkw. Will post dyno sheet bit later. These cars are a pain to run up due to the control freak auto trans Kindest regards Jon

    3.3 Stinger power development

Yup exactly what its for. Crimped halfway through pipe so pretty restrictive. The front pipes to second cats are oval aswell. Look its obviously a bit tighter as its gone from 2" pipe to 3" but still plenty of clearance and no rattles

    3.3 Stinger power development

So we had our Stinger up on the hoist today. We have built and fitted a dual 3" SS cat back exhaust. The oem is exhaust is very restrictive. The car feels a bit stronger down low but its 37degC here today. Also it has a rather nice 6cyl raspy note. Will get her back on dyno for another pull as...

    3.3 Stinger power development

Yup 14.7 is stoichiometric but we dont want to go anywhere near that lean on boost. Will see how she responds on dyno but i would expect around 12:1 will be lean enough and still safe. Will see what timing it has comanded under boost when we crack the ecu. Haha Im super excited too :)

    3.3 Stinger power development

Ok so afr is air fuel ratio. It didnt get any leaner than 11.5:1 dropping down to mid 10s at upper end of pull. Quite safe :)

    3.3 Stinger power development

Hey guys, thought would be the first poster here lol. So with 1000km clocked up on our Stinger we hit the rollers this morning to do base power and afr measurements. The Stinger realed of 233rwkw and afrs were quite on the safe side at mid 11:1. We will begin with development and testing of our...

Who plans on modding their Kia Stinger?

Only difference i can see will be the turbo down pipes. I know Kia had to change a bit to suit for Australia. Apart from that identicle ????

Who plans on modding their Kia Stinger?

Definately Dan. We are rolling it up on dyno Monday for some base power and afr measurements. We have design worked out for a good cai. Intercooler has been drawn up. Core size is 680x320x100. Its a light weight tube n fin core that we have had excellent sucess with. Currently used on fastest...

    Newbie 3.3GT owner from Adelaide

No worries at all Dan. Look from what i discoverd today the cold air intakes i thought would be at front are actually under the upper plastic garnish of engine bay. Prob only with around 1/4 inch clearance. Im hoping to run filters in front behind grille

    Newbie 3.3GT owner from Adelaide

Hi Dan. Will definately be designing my own system. The air ram that feeds the box is one of the most restrictive components. Wont know till i pull the front clip off car but will definately be working to get as much cold air as possible into the filters
