    Stinger GT braking vibration

I took a sporting drive yesterday on the 427 (12 lane hwy with divided collectors and express lanes) and really squirted between traffic, without looking reckless pushed to 170k (105 mph) in short bursts. Had to clamp on the brakes really hard a couple of times and clamped hard on them just for...

Kia Stinger Hatch/Trunk Rattle TSB With New Parts

I had the service too. Still he odd knock. Still cold weather though. Thanks for the spec on the adjustable bumpers. I'll check that today.

Love my Stinger GT2 but have concerns about the car when on twisty back mountin roads

I love you guys. I'm finally vindicated. The compression damping is too soft. The recoil damping is way too soft. I won't get into the tuning details of the different shock speed ranges that need to be tweaked. But in the twitchiness is the loss of road contact due to insufficient shock...

    Stinger GT braking vibration

My issue is under speed and with a soft brake pedal application. It's going away but I don't think it will 'go away'. So I'll deal with it until my next oil change and get both the oil change and the rotor change done at the same time. No frsutration here. It's the first year of a new model.

    Brembo Brakes Feel Rough

Fantastic info guys. My rotors are probably not going to settle in as they seem to be less pulsing or grinding than they were a week ago. But the explanations are very insightful and I buy them as a technical gay. That's mechanically technical as opposed to a tech guy as in software...

    Adaptive Suspension System

mldavis2, and all others that mention the Stinger is not a track car when discussing the poor review I give the suspension: I know it's not a track car. I know a soft cushy suspension can be fine in Germany and Korea, and even on I79 north of Pittsburgh. But here in Ontario Canada, where the...

    Stinger GT braking vibration

My scraping feel and pulsing vibration is diminishing. If it goes away i'll forget about it. It's no longer annoying and feels like it will be gone in a week. How'd it go away? I've been easy on the brakes because the vibration was annoying. Maybe that refaced the pads to ehe rotors? Who...

    Canadians Check-in

Another Canadian Stinger Driver Hi All. I'm Steve O from Toronto. I drive the first ordered and second delivered Stinger in Ontario. I think the first delivered on in Canada was delivered in Vancouver. NO FAIR! Anyway. If we get enough stingers in the GTA on line here, I'm game to meet at...

    Snow Tires vs Summer Tires

Hi All. It's spring and the winter is in the past. I had no trouble navigating in snow up hills around corners, and even into the relatively steep driveway. I did have to take it easy with braking distance. But I saved $2000 and the car looked great with the stock wheels all winter long. No...

    Stinger GT braking vibration

Sounds like brake pad resonance. Maybe the electric brake is stuck. Feel the wheels at the hubs after driving. If they are too warm at the back it could be dragging brake pads. Don't let it bother you in the meantime. New models can have problems like this and you have to wait a bit before...

    Stinger GT braking vibration

BS Royalstorm. The brakes should feel as smooth as glass. No grinding, no pulsing, no shimmying, NO NOTHING! My dealer checked and said the rotors are warped and he ordered replacements. I asked how could Brembo brakes warp? Usually that is due to overheating and undersized rotors that I...

    Kia Stinger Eibach Lowering Springs

Scarboro Kia (that's the way they spell it) in Scarborough (aka Toronto). They ordered the springs form Marcor Automotive in Burlington ON. The kit works great and stiffens the back just right. Small tar strips soften up relative to stock. Perfect balance.

    Stinger GT braking vibration

My buddies Brembo's on his Porsche froze to the rotors. $13000 to fix it, but they were ceramic pads. The climate may have something to do with it. I'm observing if it goes away or gets worse. Then I'll update you guys.

    Stinger GT braking vibration

I'm at 6000 miles (10000Km). Was not there before. Now it's there. I feel it best on the highway. Light pedal reducing from 80 mph to 70 or 60 because someone pulled into the fast lane. Then it shows up big time. Just like Royalstorm said it's more an audible roughness than a roughness I...

    Brembo Brakes Feel Rough

Hi All. I notice a roughness in the brakes when I apply them. Not a shimmy like warped rotors. Not a grind like damaged pads. But not smooth. I'm used to brakes feeling as smooth as glass. These brakes feel as smooth as saw cut lumber. Any others having this experience?

    Production Exhaust Sound

Drive it for a month first Sarge2070. When my son was 3 years old one of those Harley's would go by and he'd say "stroker'. A Rice Rocket would go by (oops, am I not PC?) and he'd say "screamer". You Strokers suit hot rods and muscle cars. Say a Challenger with Fat Cat Pak or whateverrr...

    Production Exhaust Sound

To each his own. I like The Stinger exhaust as is. They nailed it. The video above is what it is. I understand wanting better than stock. But I don't think the Borla system is. It doesn't sound tuned at all. It just sounds free flowing which means dips and flat spots in the RPM/HP curve...

    Shifting into Manual Mode

BTW: The transmission is spectacular in auto mode in sport mode.

    Shifting into Manual Mode

Not buying any of this guys. At no point in time can I decide to stay in a gear without changing the gear. At no point can I stay in manual mode without being surprised by a shift at some point because I haven't revisited the owner's manual to remind me of the plethora of logical gates that...

    Ground clearance on lowered suspension

The short front overhang reduces the issue of front clearance for driveways and curbs. So I didn't need to change my driving style but my previous SAAB was also lowered and with a much longer front overhang. The real problem is drive through car washes. I've successfully used a few now and...
