Correct. The fader will move to the to rear randomly even after you reposition it to the center The installation is pretty straight forward is just labor intensive. The unit is replace with a brand new one (it was in my case) don't think Kia has any refurbished units yet available.

Just wanted to follow up with this. After a month and few days since the head unit was replace the issue has not presented it self. Also there are no rattling or weird noises coming from the dash or center console, and my leather is in perfect shape. [rockon] Just crossed the 12.7k miles mark

Yes, both sensors transfer over to the aftermarket setup, you can see it for a few seconds on minute 2:18 of the video. He has a Borla catback exhaust on it from before.
