Kia Stinger Owner Quality & Ownership Survey

You should start a thread regarding this in the "General Discussion" sub-forum. I am on numerous car forums and they all have one. Also, if you are accustomed to the Fuelly app that tracks overall gas mileage for the life of the vehicle, it'd be a good way for members to see what kind driving...

    Check My Math

I think that is what's killing you. Leasing is "supposed" to be cheaper than buying the car. I did some math: Purchase Price: $50,000, (2k under MSRP) Finance: 72 mos @ 4.0 APR = $783/mo Lease: What you calculated = $736/mo A difference of $47 dollars. So instead of paying for a car you...

Good to have you @kiacruser like some of the others said, make sure to post a build thread when you get the car and start taking it through its paces!

    fuel

Manufacturer's lower the compression ratio in FI cars. 10.0:1 is more on the high side of FI engines. For example, The '13 ZR1 has a compression ratio of 9.1:1. The Charger/Challenger Hellcats are 9.3. Basing the Stinger's compression ratio with these, you can see it is a bit higher. Take into...

    FS 22 inbound

Nice, top 10 is still an achievement. I'm sure the region helps but so does the customer service your dealership provides. And that's a key component as consumers want a great experience when they buy these cars. Good on you!

What will be the primary use for your Kia Stinger?

The 2.0T and GT trim levels might be good for them. Put some lowering springs/coilovers, thick sway bars and some 555's for rubber and that would be a competitor in the autocross world. Hopefully they have sedans categories though...lol

    FS 22 inbound

22 just to your dealership? Seems like they think they will sell well in the southern states. I hope they do. Post some pictures, if you have time, of some of them or provide links to your website/autotrader when they have been uploaded for our buying community!

Kia Teases 2018 Stinger Super Bowl Commercial

I think it can hit the head. I believe the driver's are for us enthusiasts that know them and the car is for the average consumer. The fact they will be driving the car intrigues us. The car itself is what will appeal to the general population. Looking forward to it

    Sting-err

Well, one thing is for sure. It'll confuse the h*** out of people in Oregon and I'm just fine with that lol the pictures I see on the internet about them starting to their own pump gas is comical. ....I hope no one lives in Oregon on this forum

Drivers ed teaches, at least where I was taught, was to find the indicator in the gas gauge. If one is confused by it, they could verify with the gas gauge. Sorry if it came off harsh. Kind of common sense to most people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Car and Driver In Depth Review

I agree for the most part. These tests they are doing only helps the Stinger's appeal to a broader consumer demographic. Sports cars can be anywhere from a NA Miata to a Corvette Grand Sport to a Porsche 718. Sports cars now-a-days give all the creature comforts of a family sedan, hold the stiff...

Winter Tires, Gas, & Alternative Logos

    1. To save your butt and peace of mind, yes, get them. 2. All cars can accommodate above 87 octane. Hell, our gas stations carry 85 because of the altitude (no, it's not E-85). My dad runs 87 in his G8 GT and has had no problems in 9 years of ownership. I put 89 or 91 in my Genesis because it's...

Car and Driver In Depth Review

I think it may be a bit too cushy for some enthusiasts but I am not going to criticize since it's their first attempt at a sports car. They did well

Kia Stinger Out The Door Price Thread

In life, there are a couple things one must do... one of them is to own a Holden/G8/SS/Ute. I advise, respectfully, to stop with the foolishness and keep that car. Thank you Dan

Car and Driver In Depth Review

    octane boost

That's correct. I have not bought and tested the actual ratings of different octane boosters but there are some that are better than others. The gains the companies are seeing are in optimal conditions. Everyday driving is different.

    octane boost

Remember, octane booster is boosting the octane rating by tenths, not a whole number. If the bottle says "raise by 7", it's actually raising the octane by .7. For example, fill a car with 91 octane and add the "7" octane booster, your octane will equal 91.7 octane. See below for attachment if my...

    LAP3 Uncle Chip review

Maybe try a before/after dyno so we can see real world gains. I cant remember if STINGER had numbers but it'd be a cool statistic to have.
