That is definitely too hard of a spring in that BOV. Open it up and take a photo of the spring. Tial's springs are color coded, and each PSI spring setting has a color code. Your's seems to be either the 8psi one or something higher.

Correct. Make sure both sides are capped, also as a precaution place some zip ties on both ends of the vacuum signal hose. For the caps on the intakes, I would use a hose clamp on both to make sure they don't come out flying. Also make sure they are the correct diameter for your intake.

Have someone rev it for you while parked, to confirm proper operation of the BOV. Also the Tial does not produce a whistle sound like the HKS.
