Well, unless Kia offers an option package for the middle model when the car is introduced, it looks like I'd be forced to go with the GT2, to get everything I want. They REALLY need to do an option package that bundles stuff like vented seats, HUD and power trunk for the GT1.

Now that I've had a chance to really look over the features and options, all I can say is, I hope the charts are just preliminary because some of it makes no sense: why is limited slip only available on the GT2? What happened to heated rear seats and wireless charging, for ANY model? Head Up...

I can only assume the American version (STILL!) isn't in production yet? Or, wasn't at the time, so, they shipped korean models, just to give us an idea what to expect.

That's because these are Korean models, according to the sales guy that helped me. That's why the license bracket is wide, and also why test drives aren't allowed.

From what I could tell it looked and felt just as nice as ze Germans. The seats really jumped out at me; very soft and supple leather (being a loaded GT, I assume it was the nappa). Everything felt solid, and the surfaces were really soft and smooth. If I were to nitpick, I'd say the door...

After looking around on Instagram this week, and seeing dealers around the country are getting display models, and noticing they're all in one of these two colors, I think I spoke too soon; maybe these were cars being sent to dealers to put on display only. My oops.
