The GT2 replaced my '15 turbo mustang. Leased the Stinger 12/14, returned the mustang the next day. That was a LONG 38 months; it was a nice enough car but I never did really love it. I think I only kept it because I knew it would be expensive to terminate the lease early.

I can't wait to go. Hopefully by the time they reopen here, I'll have a tune or chip installed.

Very good point! Most struggle to drive when it's bone dry...lol.

I haven't run into a mustang yet, but, I can tell you now, this car invites challenges. It's been three days and I've already had a Charger RT, a modded Chevy SS, and an E90 335i pace me on the highway, trying to get me to take the bait.

More proof that engine is underrated.

That IS too bad they don't offer it there; I saw that color combo Friday and it is AWESOME. Made me a bit jealous. OK, a LOT jealous.

I think it deserves it, it's an impressive engine. Glass smooth, quiet in casual driving, nice rumble during lazy acceleration, responsive when you poke it. It's easily a match for BMWs inline six or the V6 in the Q50/60. Good job Hyundai/Kia.

I just got my coverage in place this morning: for a GT2 in DFW, male driver older than Methuselah (30 something), no tickets/accidents, Geico is hitting me for 123.59 monthly. They've always been on the high side (and I've always been too lazy to look elsewhere); I may check around next week...

Ok, so I'm rested and ready to share my impressions: I drove for hours last night and I now have 100 miles. I couldn't remember what the break-in recommendation was so I babied it; didn't go above 4k or 75 mph. I can say though, in sport mode, she wants to GO. It's a really good sounding engine...
