Oil viscosity on the engine cap 3.3t

All the manuals I see online say 5w30, but my engine cap specifies 0w30. Is this the same everywhere? I already know that 0w30 is better than 5w30 in every measurable way, and that 0w30 is ONLY available in synthetic. Just curious about the oil filler cap. I am in Canada if it matters. I...

    Sunroof creak - Resloved!

Went to my dealer today for the sunroof creak. I demonstrated the creak by simply driving around the building once. Technical heard the sound, but didn't know what to do about it. They said I will have to come back another time for further diag... Frustrated.

do the GT headlights have Auto leveling ? If so, to do it properly you would need to add the height sensor on the rear suspension

Bought a used Stinger yesterday - vibrations?

My dealer has confirmed that a warped / pulsating rotor is a defect, and is covered for up to 60k/3yrs. I'm OK with that

Bought a used Stinger yesterday - vibrations?

Interestingly The Canadian warranty for brake rotors is 60,000 kms, or 3 years. This screenshot is directly from https://www.kia.ca/kia-warranty

Bought a used Stinger yesterday - vibrations?

Pulsating during braking is a somewhat common defect. Dealership will need to replace the rotors. Vibrations when driving... Could be tires, could be bent rim, could be out of balance. Dealership should fix. Very disappointing that they would let you leave with these defects. Should have been...

    Spin-on oil filter conversion?

Anyone in Canada have a source for where to buy the filter from?

    Spin-on oil filter conversion?

Well, as a Canadian.... my options are quite a bit more limited than yours. All my local stores (Walmart, Canadian tire) do not even stock the oil filter, and if they do, they are out of stock ever time I check. I'm still using my first 4 oil changes free from the dealer, but soon enough, I'll...

    Voice command from mirror

Not sure what it's called specifically. But the button on the mirror that is supposed to access POI's from Google... This feature on my car never works. (it has in the past). Watch the video I suppose, anyone else have this? The voice commands from the steering wheel seem to work adequately...

    Spin-on oil filter conversion?

I hear what you are saying - but I don't like it. Is there no Kia/Hyundai 3.3 engine that uses a spin on filter?

    Spin-on oil filter conversion?

Is there such a thing for the 3.3 turbo? My previous car (2004 Mazda 3) had a cartridge filter, and upon my second oil change, I changed it to a spin on filter as there readily existed parts to make the swap...

Tires on 2018 Stinger GT1 AWD

@taxman What were your grounds for the warranty? Your tires seem to have lasted 90% of their treadwear expected life If you got over 16.6k miles, and they have a treadwear warranty for 18.6 k miles - that's not really way off The PILOT SPORT 4 have a 30,000 kilometer (18641 mile) warranty...

Tires on 2018 Stinger GT1 AWD

So you got roughly 21k miles (33.8k kms) on the rears. I would assume that is near typical for these tires, when not abused. Will you be replacing with the same type, or switching to something more long lasting. FYI: The PILOT SPORT 4 have a 30,000 kilometer (18641 mile) warranty...
