Honesty, I don't know. I thought that Sema was all about drifting. I believe that each of these locations around the country is focused on a closed course track.

I just remembered the event was called Ecoboost Challenge and not Ford's ST Drive lol.

They are actually 2 hour slots. They are scheduled on hour intervals and will overlap each other.

There was a psuedo-autocross track too, but it got way less attention on the Tube than the drifting did.

Smart move Kia, these things are always big fun. Cadillac and BMW put on good ones every year so hopefully Kia have similar set ups, with an autocross, real world safety demos, acceleration/braking tests, and most importantly, a nice food spread...lol.

And just so everyone knows, you can register more than one person. If you wanted to take a spouse, family member, or friend that is an option.

Received an email today which has more details:

Your 2-hour test drive experience will be provided by a team of professional driving instructors on a closed course. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled drive time as there will be a short registration process. For the test drive, you?ll need to have a driver?s license, which the event staff will ask to verify before the test drive. For your safety we?ll ask that you review and sign a liability release waiver before the drive. The in-vehicle host will also work with you to ensure the safety of everyone involved, including monitoring for potential impairment, which will include a breathalyzer test be administered to the driver of the vehicle.

The Stinger Experience is reserved for drivers 21 years of age and older. Additional persons will not be permitted to ride along as a passenger at any time. Arrivals after scheduled time will not be eligible to participate in the drive experience.
