We're starting on product R&D for a fog bezel insert for the front bumper to add some more function to the front bumper vents. They can be made so that air still passes through even if fogs are there. If this were a product that you'd be interested in, would you prefer dual fogs on each side or single fogs? Any other feedback/questions? Thanks in advance!

Layman's explanation copied from another Stinger owner btw....

"Those vents were never meant too cool the brakes. They are there to create a curtain of high speed wind across the tire. Prevents eddies and tumbling air from forming in wheel arches. This improves aerodynamics and high speed stability."

Of course, allowing air to exit the wheel well does contribute to brake cooling .... [:D]

Most certainly, but probably only to a small degree. Even still, there likely aren't a huge amount of individuals in the market who are taking their brand new Stingers on heavy auto-x days. If we do make something like this, it can still be vented. It seems some people were under the impression that the function of the side vents is specifically for brake cooling. That's apparently not the technical purpose nor design--the vents are there to aid in handling, albeit at high speeds.

Any other possible location for the fogs? Maybe off to the sides in the bottom grill?

That's the second choice location. I was really hoping to do a dual bezel, but we'll see I guess. The triangle grill locations seem to be a safer bet.

I would love the dual, actually voted for it, but I think we can find a better location for them.

Well there's some bad news about utilizing the "triangle areas" of the lower grill, primarily that its a whole piece connected with the rest of the grill. The chrome part is actually separate from the grill frame itself--and utilizing those outer corner parts is basically not an option since installing a lighting fixture there would require dismantling the entire thing. Additionally, you'd have to cut a hole or cut out the entire thing for installation. This isn't ideal, especially since taking everything apart can be extremely difficult due to all the tension-style plastic clips. In my estimation, this whole thing was made to snap together but not be taken apart. Something WILL break if dismantled. Alternatively, we could make something that drops in from the front, but that's still not a great option because at the very least it too would require drilling a hole. We'll continue to look at other ways to utilize this area and I'll post up if the brainiacs come up with anything.

As for the side vents, I'll likely make up a prototype and install on my car so we have something more than a Photoshop to go on. If people like it, we can see about having it mass-produced. In the meantime, an LED insert for the silver vertical piece is currently being worked on.

The dual fog lights set-up looks great. Single just seems a bit lack luster. Like if something is still missing.

Yeah! Oh I'm here in the throggs neck area, the Bronx side by Tremont avenue.

Are you in NYC area as well?
Oh no way! I?m from Westchester County?right next to White Plains. Looks like there?s about 5-6 Stinger owners in the area. We can probably have our own meet sometime in the spring!

Yeah that sounds great. Maybe sooner. NYC weather has been fantastic as of late. But I was hoping to drive in snow. Test out AWD for myself.

Anyway whatever info you need from me just let me know, let's make it happen.

That was my thought as well, thanks. BTW where in NY are you?
Is this going to be a real thing? I keep coming back and looking at the picture, looks so cool. I can imagine this at night time. It would give my base model a little something extra to look at, as well as increase visibility. Hopefully the dual version is in the works. I would buy them right now. Lol

Yes, we'll be doing a dual fog version. Things got slowed down due to the Asian new year when we couldn't get more inventory of the OEM side vent inserts. The ones from my car are currently being used for a DRL version.

Please let me know when they become available asap. I really like the look. Plus my base model doesn't have those cool led headlights. lol
