They certainly love the G70. Fair enough.
But I still prefer the looks of the Stinger.

Exactly, I think the GT looks much sleeker, sportier.

And for some reason, MT turns a 13.6 sec@104.8 mph with the AWD GT while C&D reports 13.2 sec@108 mph with the same car. Four tenths and 3+ mph is a substantial difference.

Didn't use launch control? 87 octane fuel?

I seriously fell in love with the G70 at the NY Auto show and that is what I planned on getting...but... For various reasons (cost, gas mileage, lead foot tendencies...) I was looking at the base models. Most of these comparisons are between the top trim levels, its a bit of a different story when looking lower on the food chain. For me to get leather heated seats in the G70 I needed to go up a trim level which added the bigger engine and $10K! Leather seats are standard on the barest of bones Stinger. Plus I still would not have the blind spot alert. Sure the G70 has some bells and whistles I don't in my Stinger but nothing that is a deal breaker - and I have more rear leg room and a ton more storage with the hatch. I think I made the right decision.

1/4 tank of gas and 60 degree temps... without launch control I'm in the low 5's Best 0 - 60 using launch control was 4.37sec. .. 0 - 30 1.55 sec. I'm sure they used premium fuel... they know better :)

The G70 is a great car, no doubt about it. But the Stinger is just so much sportier looking. When I saw it the first time, iIthought , wow , if I could only afford one of those, I'd be buying. The the GT line came to Canada and I was in. With gas prices and the brutal Toronto commute, a GT1 was not in the cards. Too bad the GTline only lasted one year here. They really didn't give it time to develop a customer base. Love my Stinger!

You'd hope they'd used premium! Edmunds did test of a Stinger GT, using Launch Control they improved their times by 2/10 second:

G70 looks nice, but I think the Stinger is definitely sportier. Enjoy your car.(y)
