I was only seeing black interior regardless of which exterior color I picked on the GT. Is that right?

What browser are you viewing it from? On certain colors with the GT2, black interior isn't an option.

Judging from all the comments, I guess they have some gremlins to work out of the online configurator. Hopefully in a few days to a week, it will be running better with more accurate information.

I just keep saying WTF over and over in my head. Kia better get their shit together. This CAN'T be it. No white with red interior? No LSD? So many other things missing that don't make sense. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt here and hope that it's simply a 'first day of the builder' issue and not a 'boneheads in the marketing department' issue. [facepalm]

I know right? Just like they are forcing everyone to get the Red interior on the GT2 with Silky Silver, Ceramic Silver, Aurora Black Pearl exteriors. Kia needs to fire whoever's in charge of marketing.

Good to know that I wasn't the only one to find the builder very frustrating. I had noticed from yesterday to today that they've made some changes on the build page where you cannot add the LSD as a stand alone option to non-AWD no matter what model you choose outside the GT2 trim.

It does indeed seem Kia has made some tweaks to the configurator since yesterday.

**Sunset Yellow has been removed.

Since Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) seems to be a heavily wanted option, here's a quick summary.

Base Stinger LSD Availability = No
Premium Stinger LSD Availability = No
GT Stinger LSD Availability = Yes, only on RWD
GT1 Stinger LSD Availability = No
GT2 Stinger LSD Availability = Yes, only on RWD

Summary for Color Combinations:
Base Exterior Colors = Snow White Pearl, Silky Silver, Aurora Black Pearl
Base Interior Colors = Black Leather

Premium Exterior Colors = Snow White Pearl, Micro Blue Pearl, Silky Silver, Aurora Black Pearl
Premium Interior Colors = Black Leather, Light Gray Leather only with Snow White Pearl, Beige Leather only with Black

GT Exterior Colors = Snow White Pearl, HiChrome Red, Micro Blue Pearl, Silky Silver, Panthera Metal, Aurora Black Pearl
GT Interior Colors = Black Leather

GT1 Exterior Colors = Snow White Pearl, HiChrome Red, Micro Blue Pearl, Silky Silver, Panthera Metal, Ceramic Silver, Aurora Black Pearl
GT1 Interior Colors = Black Leather, Red Leather only with Silky Silver and Aurora Black Pearl

GT2 Exterior Colors = Snow White Pearl, HiChrome Red, Micro Blue Pearl, Silky Silver, Ceramic Silver, Aurora Black Pearl
GT2 Interior Colors = Black Leather only with Snow White Pearl and HiChrome Red, Red Leather only with Silky Silver; Ceramic Silver and Aurora Black Pearl, Light Gray Leather only with Micro Blue Pearl

Any one noticed they have completely removed Sunset Yellow as a color option?

Yeah... looks like the builder is still "in beta". I tried all different trims and can't find Sunset Yellow available on ANY of the models.

I also can't believe they wouldn't offer the Napa Red Leather on the Snow White exterior.

Also, you can't finish the build a even select a local dealer to send to you. I'd say this got leaked out as if you start at www.kia.com you can't actually get to this configurator.
I think so too since I still haven't received any notifications from Kia that the configurator was live.

Not providing any interior color options for many exterior colors on KIA's premium car seems unreasonable to me. I ordered the red exterior with a light grey interior (wanted beige, but this clearly wasn't an option). My dealer told me the light grey was available, but if I'm forced to get a black interior, I'll be cancelling my order for a Stinger.

Also, the contradictory info from KIA about included and optional equipment on different Stinger models (power hatch, 360 view cameras, puddle lights, etc.) is not making a good impression... . Seems to me if KIA cared about it's potential new customers they would quickly clear these matters up and provide their customers with some reasonable interior color choices.

Wait a year to pick one up, they will surely have more options as more and more people will see the car on the roads. Don't jump the gun if you can wait for the car you want a couple months down the road.

IF this online configurator is correct with everything (I do believe there are some mistakes in it that need to be worked out) then I was thinking the same thing. Wait a while before buying one. First, if there's dealer markup on the price, it will be gone in about a year and there will be factory to dealer incentives by then too. Second, I read that as time goes on, there will be more options for the Stinger, performance and others as well. Third, there may be more color combinations with the exterior and interior (getting the red or grey interior with a red exterior for example) and even more color choices. I would like the car now but I don't need it now. I can wait. Also, I have a feeling that depreciation will be significant with the Stinger, so if somebody got a used one in two or three years that was a lease, you'd be saving a significant amount of money. If I'm going to buy new and spend $53K, I want what I want and I'm not going to settle for color choices and color combinations with the interior.

This new Stinger is a HUGE move and gamble for KIA. They have to get everything right with this as the sales of sedans decline and suv's increase. KIA got the main part, the car, right. But now they have to get the smaller stuff (colors, options, marketing, pricing) right too or no one will buy the car. People may look at the car and be amazed that KIA built the beautiful Stinger but if people can't get it the way they want, they won't buy it. I'm still hoping the online configurator just has some mistakes in it and that it will all be worked out in a week or so. We'll see I guess.

The word on the street is the configurator is correct, but it is only showing options/combinations that will be available in every US state. There will be configurations that only some states get and not others.

Does this mean that dealers can customize color combinations?
