Which octane tune were they. The 398 and the 418? The LAP3 Uncle Chip has 3 choices for the Stinger. 89 octane/ 91 octane/ and 93 octane. Each make higer HP as you go up in octane rating.

Which octane tune were they. The 398 and the 418? The LAP3 Uncle Chip has 3 choices for the Stinger. 89 octane/ 91 octane/ and 93 octane. Each make higer HP as you go up in octane rating.
In Korea they don't go by octane, but instead by RON. I remember reading on the STi forum that its around 95 octane.

I believe both dyno sheets were from Korea. Not sure what octane, but you can see both baseline numbers and tuned numbers on the same sheet.

Am I reading this correctly...~90WHP/96ft-lbs increase to the stock configuration by simply adding your tune controller. No mods were made to the cars intake or exhaust?
We just joined the forum today, and this thread definitely needs an update. So here we go!

The first thing I did was regap the plugs to 0.025. What a difference that made to the throttle response. Then I added the K&N drop-ins, and those gave her a bit more pep. I don't want to upgrade the exhaust because of all the drone complaints I am hearing from others. I know I would not like that.

However, I am used to high power and torque, so trying to get what I can with the stock, or semi-stock setup.
It looks like it from the first dyno, but I would not chance adding a tune without upgrading the spark plugs.

If you want to convert STD correction factor to SAE correction factor, the general rule of thumb is subtract 3 or 4%. If you see a Dyno graph with a STD HP rating of 400, you can multiply by .96 or .97 and get a rough idea of the SAE HP numbers, which would be 384 to 388 HP.
