The guy at the tint shop was a man of few words, so, I honestly have no idea..lol. It has a five year warranty and it was 110 bucks cheaper than my cheapest estimate ($160 total) so I figured why not...
I would've washed it, we finally got warmer weather, but since I am still debating if I should hold off or not. Waiting to see if KIA adds the missing features and the interior color combo I want (red with white exterior).
On the Legacy GT forums, threads like this are active with people discussing the latest things they've done without the need of a separate thread. I have found it to be an interesting way to figure out some cool mods and to see what other members are up to.
I'll start:
Today I installed my K & N intakes. It took about 2 hours. I figured out the hard way that there are 4 different size clamps included. Pro tip: use silicone spray lube to make the rubber couplers slide on and move freely. The smaller breather fitting is too small diameter and needed a wrap of silicone sealing tape to make the hose spring clamps seal.
Now the car sounds like a rabbid fire sneezing dragon. It's quite substantial sounding under moderate throttle in particular.
An automotive trim plastic tool set along with wedges came in handy. Goo Gone and plastic razor blades are a necessity.
Pro tip: mark out the center line and edge of the OEM badge on painters tape with a pencil and cover it with a second layer and expose it only when ready to place the new badge. There is no indent in the trunk or bumper cover to guide the placement and this helps a tonne.
